We stumbled upon our love of photography after picking it for our careers while serving in the Army. Of course we’re sisters, two years apart, most people think that we’re twins when they meet us.

We love action movies and comedies. Our top five would be Good Fellas, Wonder Woman, Dark Knight Rises, Harlem Nights and almost any Marvel movie. I know we couldn’t pick only five.

My big sister Tye as we call her was born in Georgia and I was born in Alaska. Being Army “brats” we have lived in several states all over the U.S. including California and Hawaii. Our own military career took us to Germany and we settled into staying on the east coast after getting out.

Taking photos and recording events is more than a hobby for us, it has grown into a major part of our lives and we both owe that to choosing to pick up a camera more than 10 years ago.

We are driven by our love creativity and classy silhouettes to produce unique and timeless images for our clients.

The Beginning
Back in 2002, I wanted to do something different and after doing 3 years in the Army Reserves, I decided to go active duty. I also changed my job and followed my little sister's footsteps in doing photography and videography. We were stationed in Germany together. We were roommates, even in the same company. After Germany, I was stationed at Ft. Meade, Maryland and she was at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia.

When we got out of the Army, we were still capturing photos and videos for family and friends. And as the years went on, my desire to continue capturing family’s memories continued to grow and I wanted to do it for others.

Why Weddings?
The first wedding we captured together was for my sister’s
co-worker The wedding was very intimate and was held at her Grandparents’ house. The ceremony was in the front yard and the reception in the back yard. We loved spending time with the couple as well as their family and friends.

Another reason why I love shooting weddings is to capture every detail from you big day including the couple getting ready, the ceremony, and the reception with their family and friends. Family and friends come from all over to celebrate the couple's union. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for everyone to to be in one place at the same time. These memories will last forever.

In My Free Time:
I love watching comedies, action movies, Law & Order, CSI, especially Marvel and DC movies. My favorite character is
Wonder Woman. I love to go to the movies, out to eat, and traveling. My sister and I have been to Bahamas, Aruba, Jamaica, Antigua, St. Martin. My dream vacation would be to Greece, I love Greek mythology. I'm a stay at home mom as well to a very active 2 year old daughter.

The Beginning
Picked up photography in the military. After finishing high school, I decided I didn’t want to go to college and entered the military. Choosing to do photography and videography was one of the choices I was given and I thought it would be great. Fast forward to 18 years later and I still love doing both. Guess I made the right choice after all.

Why Weddings?
When our parents got married back in 1980, they didn’t do a ceremony. They got married at the courthouse and sadly, only three pictures we have from that special day: the signing of the marriage certificate, exchanging of the rings, and the kiss. To me, three photos doesn’t capture the greatness of that special day. So I love to capture everything from start to finish so that 5, 10, 20 years from now; a couple can look back on our photos and relive their special moments together.

Why Maternity and newborns?
Originally my sister was going to be my first maternity client but my niece had other plans and decided she couldn’t wait to be here. She arrived two months early. But since then, we’ve shot a few and I always like hearing the backstories of these lovely women and seeing how I can make this time for them special before their free time is no longer theirs.

In My Free Time:
I love going to concerts. I’ve seen Janet Jackson live three times! Clearly I’m a fan. I’ve seen Prince, Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige and countess others. So clearly I love R&B but also listen to a few pop artists such as Bruno Mars, Maroon 5 and others.

Avid movie watcher. I love comedies and action flicks. Top 5: Goodfellas, Harlem Nights, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Dark Knight Rises and The Last Dragon.

I also like to dance and spending time with my family. Being an Army “brat,” I’m really close to my parents and of course my business partner, my sister. So even when not shooting events together, we’re still around each other.
