Wedding at River Farm in Alexandria
Who would have thought a chance meeting at a local bakery in Woodbridge would lead us to capture this amazing couple’s day?
Riffard and Jennifer picked the perfect backdrop for their very relaxed day, the River Farm in Alexandria. With its old-world charm, lovely gardens and a great view of the Potomac, who couldn’t resist saying “I do” here? The venue has an amazing garden that’s perfect for an outdoor ceremony as well as a tent area for the reception.
A few things made their day stand out, first: the dress! As little girls, we grew up watching “Say Yes to the Dress” and Jennifer knew that was the place for her to pick her gown. Her gorgeous gown from Kleinfelds in New York has it all: lace, buttons and the perfect neckline. She picked Badgley Mischa gold rhinestone heels with a buckle design at the toe to complement her dress.
How did they meet?
Jennifer’s amazing matron of honor met Riffard at a work conference and knew right away he would be perfect for her best friend. Then she hatched a plan for the two to meet and the rest is history.
